Melbourne’s MOOMBA Festival
Moomba will burst to life this Labour Day Weekend with free events for all ages along the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River.
Moomba is Australia’s largest free community festival with millions of people attending every year. This is the festival 65th year!
Festival favourite the Birdman Rally will be back with competitors plunging into the Yarra River for charity from 11.30am on Sunday 10th March.
The Moomba Parade will bring a flurry of colour and movement to St Kilda Rd with community designed floats, cultural performance groups, school participants and dance troupes joining the Moomba Monarchs in celebrating Moomba 2019 (Monday 12 March, 10.45am).
Held over four days, the festival attracts local and international visitors alike to the sun-soaked banks of the Yarra to share in the vibrancy and spirit of our much-loved city.

Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix
Motorheads unite! Melbourne hosts perhaps the greatest spectacle of Formula 1 racing in Australia this March.
And in 2019, there’s more to the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix than ever before.
It is the ultimate playground for the world’s biggest stars. Watch as the fastest cars in the world tear up the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit at the 2019 season opener.
Fans can come and enjoy the Heineken Village which offers a unique and interactive setting with performances where fans can unwind and enjoy the complete Formula 1 experience in style. The excitement continues with the F1 Fan Zone, fascinating motor shows, kids’ corner and so much more.
Whether you are a motorsport fan after full throttle or want to soak in the glamour of this star-studded event, the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix presents something for everyone as it takes excitement and opulence to the next level.

Melbourne Comedy Festival
The city will light up with laughs when the Melbourne International Comedy Festival takes over town!
For three and a half weeks from 27 March to 21 April Melbourne will be the nation’s hive of happiness, injecting all-day, all-night infectious fun to the city.
Be it family fun at Fed Square, glittering gala events or late-night laughs at Festival Club, there is a comedy thrill to fit everyone’s bill.
Comedians of all shapes and sizes take to theatres, pubs, clubs and broom cupboards citywide during Festival, shining a spotlight on the silly, the serious, the heart-breaking and the hilarious. Humour is what brings us together and what sets us apart. Celebrate it all at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Avalon Air Show
The Australian International Airshow, also known as the Avalon Airshow, is the biggest airshow in the southern hemisphere. It brings in visitors from all over the world.
The Airshow brings together aircraft from different defence forces; including the US Air Force, the US Navy, as well as the Royal Australian Air Force; in a spectacular display of tactics and prowess.
As the airshow is held every two years, you don’t want to miss this one if you are in town!
The event features the best collection of aerobatic daredevils, historic aircraft from the classic years of aviation, and the most impressive collection of WWII aircraft.
Hundreds of the world’s leading innovators will display their latest and most exciting aerospace, aviation and defence products and inventions.
It is always a spectacular day out, whether you are an aviation enthusiast or a family looking for a fun day out.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival
Food and wine lovers from all over descend on Melbourne each year to indulge in bespoke events that fill the city’s labyrinthine network of restaurants, laneways, lights-turned-down basements, dizzying rooftops as well as spilling into spectacular regional Victoria.
Dangling an impressive line-up of international and home-grown talent, along with an extensive list of food-for-thought conversations on sustainability and chef-led masterclasses, the 2019 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival promises to lure punters from around the country.
Melbourne Food and Wine Festival are all about supporting and cultivating the very things that make Melbourne – and the surrounding regions – a gastronomic playground.
