It’s no secret some of our most fond memories are made in summer and summers in Melbourne are no exception. So, while you are here why not take advantage of what’s on offer and make some new memories. #easylikesummer

Melbourne’s Biggest Free Music Festival

With the new year just around the corner, now is the time to start planning events for 2019. Here is a date to square away right now.

February 10 2019.

That’s when St. Kilda Festival will be heading back onto the foreshore. So while organisers are yet to release the lineup (details are usually released early January), one thing is for certain, this is a festival you don’t want to miss. The New Music Stage will headline 10 emerging local artists, fill the space will street performers, food trucks, carnival rides and eight live music stages spread around St Kilda.

Did we mention it’s free?

Last years festival attracted 460,000 people – a new record with organisers looking to break it again next year. Dubbed Australias biggest FREE celebration of summer, you certainly want to be apart of this.

Night Noodle Markets

Renowned for their love of food, the city of Melbourne has a new staple in their culinary events calendar. The Night Noodle Markets. With no shortage of delicious street inspired asian cuisines including, Bao Buns, Hong Kong inspired egg waffles, Korean tacos and Taiwanese style steamed buns there is something to excite every taste bud, we promise.

If that isn’t enough to get you racing down to Birrarung Marr then maybe the fact the markets are only here till November 26 will.

Outdoor Barefoot Cinema

You heard right, seems like outdoors is the place to be this summer, and the Barefoot Cinema is providing the goods. With three locations it’s impossible not to embrace outdoor life. Set in some of Victoria’s most stunning back backdrops this spectacular outdoor sensation is one to get aboard this summer.

Portsea: Barefoot Cinema Portsea is located at the Commanding Officer’s House in Point Nepean National Park, Portsea.

Mount Martha: Barefoot Cinema Mount Martha is located at The Briars which is at 450 Nepean Highway, Mount Martha.

Rippon Lea Estate: Barefoot Cinema Rippon Lea Estate is located at Rippon Lea Estate Mansion & Gardens which is at 192 Hotham Street, Elsternwick.

While it’s a no BYO event, there is a bar plenty of food options and entertainment to delight. Even the kids are welcome, so grab a blanket and head down.

The Famous Queen Vic Markets – Summer Night Market

Melbourne’s original and favourite foodie filled night market returns this summer. Hosting a variety of food vendors it seems like the only thing missing is remembering to go. Therefore mark these dates in your calendar.
